Twitter announced rolledout a more engaging and attractive profile layout to certain accounts yesterday and it looks like Facebook. The revamped Twitter profile carries a larger profile photo with a customized header. Also, users will be able to highlight their best tweets and more.
The resemblance doesn’t end there; just like Facebook a tweet can now be pinned. The whole view has become more compant and the visual appeal has increased. The biggest highlight is indeed a separate highlight of photos/videos. They aren’t as organised as the albums in Facebook but a good way to tell your tweet-story visually. One can eaily see the top followers and following.
It’s good that Twitter is bringing some visually pleasing change for the marketers; however, the fact it resembles Facebook too much. We see a strong marketing potential on this platform.
